Consultations on Church-Related Higher Education

Project Number:
Start Date:

E. Max Case sponsored three consultations over a two-year period for institutional teams from sixteen church-related colleges in Indiana. Teams were composed of college presidents, campus ministers, faculty, staff and trustees. The consultations allowed participants to collaborate in exploring the relationship between their religious identities, their institutional missions and their sponsoring denomination through small discussion groups, conversations with national scholars, and worship. Participants considered such significant issues for church-related colleges as religious identity, institutional mission, institutional history, and integration of faith and learning. The overall goal of this project was to help institutional teams plan for the future by building on their unique histories and refocusing or reaffirming the integration of faith and learning at their institutions.
