Under the auspices of this grant, Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary created and funded the permanent staff position of Pastor to the Seminary Community for Spiritual Formation. A new initiative, the Seminary Pastor emphasized the centrality of spiritual formation to enhance the quality of candidates for congregational ministry.
