Emphasizing the values of partnership and hospitality, Claremont School of Theology developed programs along three initiatives to build capacity for preparing students for congregational ministry. The school renewed the commitment to make service to the students its top priority; partnered with leaders in ministry and involved judicatories from local congregations and denominations as an integral part of the seminaries formation process; and built a student activities center as the physical and communal center of the campus to enable a hospitable community. The grant funded two new faculty positions: a Director of Field Education, and a Director of Spiritual Formation.
