Perkins School of Theology adopted a three-pronged approach to enhance its capacity for preparing candidates for congregational ministry. The school introduced a new curricular emphasis on worship and spiritual formation. The connection between theological education and the practice of ministry received renewed emphasis through the development of several “teaching congregation” relationships between the school and select local congregations served by the school’s interns. The grant enabled the school to improve the information technology infrastructure to better support the extension education programs.
