Hood Theological Seminary revised its Supervised Ministry program requiring that degree candidates participate in a variety of ministerial experience under supervision. At least one of these experiences was required in a congregational context; other avenues included Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), cross-cultural ministry, social-justice ministry, and work with the poor. The seminary successfully integrated five areas of ministerial preparation under the supervised ministry program. These areas include: academic preparation, spiritual development, interpersonal relationships, personal growth, and professional development.
